Matt Winton has joined the QPR 1st committee in an uncontested election.
The Trust is very pleased to welcome Matt, and the deep insights he has into the workings of the Club, on board. Matt’s election statement shows his commitment to both the Trust and to QPR. In it he says, “It is my belief that QPR 1st Supporters Trust has a predominant role to play in the future running of the Football Club and Company. I view the Hoops Fund as an important financial vehicle to generate income from supporters as a secure source of investment for the future of their football club. This is where I feel that my experience of fund raising from QPR fans will benefit this scheme. A well-timed appeal for support from existing WAQPR could significantly boost the fund.”
Matt’s election manifesto was not needed, because all eight of the committee members that stood were unopposed but, along with all those of all the other successfully-elected committee members, it can be found by following this link.
The QPR 1st management committee now comprises the following elected members:
David Anderson
Andrew Goss
Justin Pieris
David Price
Leon Stent
Tracy Stent
William Wall
Matthew Winton
We will be sitting down together as a committee in the very near future, after which more details on the roles of different individuals will be published. In the meantime we would like to thank Stuart Whitney, our treasurer for the past year, who due to various commitments, has had to stand down from his position on the committee. Stuart has very kindly agreed to finalise our accounts for the present year ending (which are due to be sent to the FSA very soon), of which we are very grateful to him for, but after this we will be on the lookout to co-opt a new treasurer for the coming year.
