There is currently an online petition to promote partial fans ownership of football clubs in England.
The petition requests that:
Partial Fan Ownership of English football clubs
Responsible department: Department for Culture, Media and Sport
That by law all football clubs should have a non controlling ownership share held by it’s own supporters. This share should be calculated by experts to ensure that investment levels in English football remains competitive but is enough to give fans greater transparency in how the football club is funded, managed, staffed and encourage a more collaborative approach between the football clubs and the communities they serve.
