Consultation the key,” says QPR Supporters Trus

QPR 1st, the Queens Park Rangers Supporters Trust, has urged the club’s board to ensure that supporters groups are fully consulted over any possible changes to the current groundshare arrangement with Fulham.

Trust Chairman David Price said: “We spoke to QPR’s Chief Executive David Davies recently and he told us that QPR’s board had yet to formally meet with its Fulham counterparts about future plans for groundsharing at Loftus Road. Those discussions are now clearly underway in the light of recent developments at Fulham.

“This is another crucial point in the history of both clubs and our supporters need to be convinced that any groundshare deal being considered represents the best option for QPR.

“We urge our board to make sure they act in the best interests of QPR and its supporters – and the only way to do that is to engage in proper consultation with supporters groups before taking important decisions about the club’s future.

“QPR 1st is about to survey its members to gauge the mood of our support on exactly these issues. We will make sure that Mr Davies and the QPR board are kept fully informed of the results and we hope that they will take heed of what QPR supporters say.”
