QPR1st Supporters Trust welcomes today’s announcement from the club regarding the formation of the new Supporters Advisory Board (SAB). This new body will be a mix of representatives from established fan groups and elected fans, with elections open to all.
We are delighted that the club has been working in detail with the Football Supporters Association (FSA) to develop these plans. The FSA has been instrumental in fostering fan representation and engagement across the football pyramid. We thank all involved for their hard work on this.
As ever, the proof of the pudding is in the eating. We feel this is a great start from the club in response to EFL Regulation 128 (requiring clubs to engage with supporters) and the advent of Football Governance Bill. It is important going forwards that the club maintains this level of commitment to long-term working with fans. The Trust is pleased to accept a seat on the SAB and will be monitoring progress closely.
