QPR1st meet the Wintons and say hello to Kevin McGrath

This week, a few Trust representatives met up for a chat with Harold, Alex and Matt Winton. The meeting was amicable and constructive and both parties agreed to co-operate in developing ideas for fans representation to the board. We also discussed future options for raising money to support the club and we
look forward to continuing these discussions.

Keeping up with the meetings theme, we also managed to grab a few minutes of Kevin McGrath’s time recently for an informal chat. Kevin is the newest member of QPR’s board and was previously a director of WeAreQPR. He is currently a partner in REIT Assett Management, so we were able to briefly discuss funding opportunities with him. We wish Kevin all the best in
his new role and look forward to building up a constructive working relationship with him over the coming weeks and months.

Sign ‘em up, sign ‘em up, sign ‘em up…

Many thanks to all members that have signed up or renewed for 2003. The last lot of membership fees were due on 31 July 2002, so we’re now in the transition period between 2002 and 2003 members.

Due to our AGM being delayed, we have continued to include 2002 members in email updates and post news/ballots and have decided on a cut off date of 21st December (the date of our AGM) for 2002 members to renew. All 2002 members should have received several reminders to renew and received a membership
form in with the Election Ballot, so if you know of a 2002 member who hasn’t quite got round to re-newing yet, give them a gentle nudge!

Membership Secretary Leon Stent has been a busy man recently and our total membership so far for 2003 is almost 400 and rising. But Leon’s got broad shoulders and he loves his role, so why not add to his joy by signing up? Its only a tenner (less than you saved by not having to buy an FA Cup Second Round ticket) and
you can request a form anytime or download it from our web site.

Another very important and historic development has taken place in that we have been dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century and are now able to take Credit/Debit card payments online. Not only that, but you can now purchase QPR 1st merchandise via the web as well.

And finally, to all members – please try to participate in and respond to ballots, elections, postal votes. The more members express their views, the better your Committee are able to represent you… so please help us to help you. Thanks for your
continued support!
