Letters of Support

Details and a report on last nights Public Meeting will appear here later, in the meantime we would like to extend our thanks to everyone who attended the meeting and made it such a memorable evening. We have received many letters of support from other organisations, a selection that were read out at the meeting can be below

The following are a selection of the messages sent to QPR 1st to mark our 1st anniversary

LOFT

Congratulations on your first anniversary.
May you have many more.

We are all going through testing times at the moment and we have to stick together. I think that the whole movement of Trusts and ISAs is a positive step in the right direction.Given time, we will have the credibility that supporters deserve .

All of us at LOFT appreciate your predicament , because we were in a similar situation a few years ago, but times have changed and with pressure from the likes of LOFT and QPR 1st and numerous others we can change the status quo. Regarding the current climate, , not one club must be allowed to die.It is up to all of us to make sure that this does not happen.

We all have to stick together now and we should all be there for each other .If there is anything we can do to help you then let us know.SUPER HOOPS

Dear Tracey,

Thank you for your e-mail regarding the public meeting at Hammersmith Town Hall on the club’s current plight. Unfortunately I cannot attend as I am on holiday on that date but you all know that anything or anyone that can be found to help QPR out of the financial mess it has found itself in will get my wholehearted support. This is, of course, as long as the prospective owners have the best interests of the club at heart and do not merely see it as a property development scheme or opportunity for asset stripping. Herein lies the problem!

I know Ian Holloway, obviously from my playing days, and in him you have a manager who is honest, enthusiastic and committed to the cause. I hope you can now find someone who can buy the club and who can match these attributes in order for Rangers to have any chance of restoring their former glory.

Please pass on my best wishes to everyone. QPR is still my club and I wish you the very best of luck in your quest to save its heritage and very
existence.

Yours sincerely,
Simon Barker
GAS

“Over the past ten years or so our two clubs have shared a lot – managers (Francis, Holloway), players (Penrice, Bruno, Bignot, Yates, Tillson, Waddock – the list is as long as your arm) and just recently some of the lowest points in our respective histories.

While we at the Gas Trust are only just starting out, we take great inspiration from the supporters of Queens Park Rangers in their efforts to secure a long term future for their club and a lasting voice for supporters in the running of the club. Hopefully before very long, a genuine fans’ influence within their football club will be another thing that we have in common.

Happy birthday to QPR 1st and the very best of luck to Olly and the lads as they attempt to restore Rangers to their former glory from all at the Gas Trust, Bristol Rovers FC.”

Cheers
John

WISA

To everyone at QPR 1st a MASSIVE thank you from all at The Dons Trust for the encouragement and advice you have given us over the past few months.

The last year has been a trying time for both of our clubs. But the fans of both QPR and Wimbledon continue to work for what they believe in.

“That” proposed merger achieved one thing – the forging of a strong bond between the Fans of both our clubs. Rest assured that all Hoops will continue to receive the unfailing support of all Wombles everywhere – have a brilliant evening, and wishing you continued success with QPR 1st.

WINS

Dear Tracy,

Congratulations! Now that your foundations have been in place for twelve months, they will give added support to the constructive work that we’re sure you will continue for many years to come.

Your game against us at Wrexham earlier this season provided the inspiration to start our own Trust – the Wrexham Football Supporters’ Trust Limited (the WINS Group for short) – based on our members raising money through our Beer-a-Week campaign to pay for players that our Club could not otherwise afford. We are three months old now, and are providing incomes for two
players so far. As we now seem destined for division three next year, we will miss you (for a season, at least!) but will always be grateful to you for that inspiration, which we are convinced will see us back as more formidable opponents in the near future.

Kind regards,

Rob Owen.

Bees United

Dear Tracy,

Congratulations to QPR1st on surviving your first year as a supporters trust. The news that QPR is set to come out of administration with Loftus Road and a strong playing squad intact is a beacon of light to all clubs facing financial crises in these times.

Our best wishes for the future success of the trust – hope that you keep the QPR show on the road. We know what it feels like to go out of business and rebuild from nothing. We wouldn’t recommend it!

SWANSTRUST

Tracy – and all at QPR 1st.

Our very best wishes on your 1st birthday from all at Swanstrust.

Firstly, we’d like to apologise for not being entirely hospitable for your visit to the Vetch this season.

Of much greater importance is the off the field support you have given to many other clubs and their fledgling trusts, including ours at Swansea. The Trust is the way forward to secure a new future where we achieve the best possible mix of excellent commercial practice with true community accountability.

Thanks to Supporters – Direct and the support from the community of Trusts up and down the country we have emerged from this truly awful season intact and in a new world. Our supporters have a seat on the Board and a share in the ownership of the club. And we have a “bandit proof” shareholders agreement. This means that the next egomaniac who wants to buy our cub and use it as his personal toy will first have to present themselves at a Trust general meeting. If they gain a majority vote of the Trust members they can go ahead. Let’s face it – that is not going to happen.

Details and a report on last nights Public Meeting will appear here later, in the meantime we would like to extend our thanks to everyone who attended the meeting and made it such a memorable evening. We have received many letters of support from other organisations, a selection that were read out at the meeting can be seen

The principles of the Supporters Trust work. Keep up the fight at Loftus Road. There is light at the end of the tunnel. We will get our clubs back where they belong.

Best wishes Richard Lillicrap Elected member Swanstrust

Exeter

Queen’s Park Rangers Trust

I’m pleased to offer the congratulations and continued support from the Exeter City Trust on this, the first anniversary of your Trust. We wish you continued success. One of the real bonuses of the idea Trusts is that we can gain experience from the work that others have done. We at the Exeter City Trust acknowledge the inspiration of the RedImps Trust at Lincoln, and their Chairman Rob Bradley. We are happy to be consulted about any aspect of the running of our Trust that may help you further establish yours as a real force. We will toast you in “Grecian Ale” our most recent Trust enterprise as we all strive to move towards the democratisation of football management.
Continued Good Luck!
