Trust calls for independent trustees

QPR 1st are calling for the responsibility of the shares being held in QPR Nominees account to be transferred to the care of independent trustees.

The shares held in QPR Nominees amount to around 24% of the company’s shareholding, and when Chris Wright transferred these shares into this account, he appointed Ross Jones and David Davies as the custodians over them.

The Trust has concerns over possible conflicts of interest, with an employee of the company and the Chairman of the Plc being responsible for such a large percentage of voting rights and effectively the future of QPR, and due to these concerns, believe that independent trustees should be appointed.

We will be contacting Chris Wright this week about the issue, as well as a number of other matters, and will report back when we receive his response.
