Support Hendon on Non League Day

We received the following from the Hendon Football Club Supporters Trust and urge anyone in the area to pop along and support this fixture :

I am contacting you on behalf of Hendon Football Club Supporters Trust where I am a member of the board. We have now been sole owners of Hendon Football Club, of the Ryman League Premier Division, for just over a year now and are working hard to ensure a long term future for the club.

You may be aware that the first weekend of September has been set aside as ‘Non League Day’ where by many Non League clubs are running promotions of various kinds to try and attract fans of clubs affected by the International break and who may be looking for live football that weekend through the gate. Hendon were due to play Lewes on Saturday 3rd September but due to a clash with landlords Wembley FC’s FA Cup commitments our match has been put back to 3pm on Sunday 4th September.

QPR1st welcomes the purchase of the club by Tony Fernandes

We are delighted that the club can now move forward after months of uncertainty. The Trust is pleased to welcome back Amit Bhatia as vice-chair and that the Mittals have maintained their stake in the club. Having listened to and read Mr Fernandes’ initial media interviews we are glad that we have an owner who it appears will take a long term view of the club and wants to build the infrastructure and the management team.
