Mermbers Forum and Public Meeting

Members Forum

Starting from next week we will be holding the first of what will be regular monthly/6 week members forums. The idea of these meetings, is to encourage members of QPR 1st to come along and have a chat with the Committee as regards any info/problems/advice members might like to bring up. We also hope that these meetings will act as a type of recruitment drive in order to encourage other QPR fans, and indeed Loftus road plc shareholders, to come along and join up as members of the trust. As the forums progress we hope to have input from members of the QPR staff/management/players etc.

The first of these forums is also to include the ratification of our constitution, which whilst being a rather mundane aspect of the setting up of the trust, is a necessary legal requirement. Therefore the first forum is to be strictly for members of QPR 1st. A summary of the constitution is available on our web site, athttp://www.qpr1st.co.uk/main/constitution.asp .

The full version should be up on our website shortly.

The date of the first forum has been set for the evening of Tuesday, March 12th 2002, a 7pm start, in the upstairs room of the Bushranger pub, Goldhawk Road, (opposite Goldhawk road tube station) Shepherds Bush, W12.
Important. Please note. Members must be able to produce their membership card on the night to gain entry.

Public Meeting

A public meeting has been arranged to take place on the evening of 4th April 2002, at Hammersmith town hall. This date also commemorates the initial setting up of the trust, and is also roughly a year since QPR were placed into administration. So a rather symbolic date all round. The format of the evening is yet to be fully finalised. The Committee of QPR 1st will give an annual report on how the Trust has progressed in its first year of operation and there will also be an opportunity for members of the QPR public to address the Committee.

We are also working hard on a format that will include a session enabling various people/parties with an interest in QPR to speak publicly at this meeting.

Invitations are being sent to:

* Current management staff at QPR

* The current team manager

* Various Media parties

* Players – past and present

* All known prospective buyers/bidders for QPR

* The Mayor of Hammersmith & Fulham and the local Member of Parliament

* Reps from other Supporters groups

* Reps from Supporters Direct – The Governing body of Supporters Trusts

More information about this will be set out nearer to the time, in the meantime, we hope that you can make this meeting.
