David Davies has confirmed to the Trust that QPR’s board are meeting today to focus on bringing board members who have been out of the country up-to-date. We also understand the board will be considering a proposal from an Australian based consortium that involves raising further finance for the club, secured against the Loftus Road ground.
These are still difficult times for the club. QPR 1st is aware of the financial situation at QPR and the need to raise finances. However, the board must fully consider the risks associated with raising finance using Loftus Road as security.
The Trust therefore urges the board of QPR to:
– be completely open with supporters about the nature of any proposals being considered
– consider all options available to it
– act only in the best longer term interests of the club
