Are you at a loose end this weekend? If so, and you’re a member of QPR 1st, then there are two very important football conferences taking place this weekend, both at Arsenal’s Highbury Stadium.
The first is the Supporters Direct Annual Conference this Friday (20th June), starting at 10am at which there will be a number of issues, events and sessions which relate to supporters trusts taking place. Juzza, Tracy and Graham will be attending from the committee, but there are places left and we would welcome any members who can make it to come along and join us. The second football event taking place this weekend is on Saturday (21st June) which is the Football Supporters Federation annual conference. As QPR 1st is an affiliated group of the FSF, all Trust members are more than welcome to attend.
There is a packed agenda, including some presentations, a speech by Alan Keen MP, who is Chair of the all-party Parliamentary Football Group but with the main theme of the day being a number of important issues to be discussed regarding the FSF proposed blueprint on a number of matters which affect the game and its supporters (22 in all).
